Introducing Passport: trust that travels across worlds
SocialCardHouse is being built as one ecosystem with multiple real hobby worlds inside it. That only works if trust can travel with you without erasing what makes each scene distinct.
That portable layer is called Passport.
What Passport is for
Passport is not a vanity badge system. Its job is much more practical:
- help people understand whether you show up reliably
- help good conduct carry with you when you explore a new world
- reduce friction for safe meetups, leagues, and community events
If you have earned trust in one part of SocialCardHouse, you should not have to start from zero every time you branch into a neighboring hobby.
What Passport is not
Passport is not meant to flatten every community into one generic score.
We do not want:
- one global popularity contest
- a public moderation dossier
- raw punishment metrics dumped onto profiles
Instead, the public layer should stay curated and useful. It should help people answer simple questions like: does this person follow through, behave well, and contribute positively to real-world community spaces?
Trust travels, reputation stays local
This distinction matters.
At SocialCardHouse, we want:
- portable trust for reliability and conduct
- world-specific reputation for scene knowledge, participation, and local respect
That means your Home World still matters. A strong reputation in PokeMeet should feel different from a strong reputation in MagicMeet or YugiMeet, even if your Passport already signals that you are someone people can trust to meet in person.
Why this matters for solo hobbyists
One of the hardest parts of joining a new scene is being unknown.
Passport is meant to make exploration easier without making communities feel porous or careless. When it works well, it should help people move into adjacent hobbies with more confidence and less social friction.
Where we are now
Passport is part of the product foundation and now part of the public language around SocialCardHouse.
As the site, waitlist, and world pages evolve, you will see more of that structure show up in a way that feels clear, earned, and useful.
